Bio

Stephen is a former VFX Supervisor turned screenwriter and director who was mentored by VFX stalwarts and multiple Oscar winners John Dykstra and Richard Edlund. In his VFX capacity Stephen has worked on big budget Hollywood productions including “Spaceballs, “Dick Tracy”, and “Coming to America.”

Upon leaving the VFX world Stephen was named a “Stephen King Approved Screenwriter” by Stephen King himself after adapting his short story “The Mangler” for director Tobe Hooper and New Line.

 

As a writer/director Stephen has won numerous awards at festivals around the globe. His latest indie darling “Flytrap” is in worldwide release via Amazon Prime, Roku, TubiTV, Google Play and Itunes. Ain’t It Cool News called “Flytrap” ‘An unexpected little paranoia trip.’

His music videos have been Short-listed for Video of the Year Grammy’s.

Stephen’s films have screened, won audience and jury awards at Cannes, ECU, The European Independent Film Festival, The Chelsea Film Festival, Worldfest Houston, Dances With Films, The Monaco Independent Film Festival, The Idyllwild Festival of Cinema, Festival du Film de Strasbourg, and The Los Angeles Independent Film Festival.

Stephen is in post on his feature “Appleseed” and is also in per-production on the supernatural thriller “Spider Seeds” based on the novel by acclaimed Canadian author David Tocher.
